Best breakfast. Great bakery. French toast and pancakes are homemade and terrific. Renard’s aged white cheddar is good on everything.

Great dinner. They don’t take reservations. Arrive at 445 for 5pm seating, if you don’t make it you’ll have to wait until 7pm. It’s a very small place but the food is phenomenal. ~50$ a head

Best steak on the peninsula. Perhaps best burger too in the truffle cheese burger. Great bartenders. Cool old school Wisconsin after dinner drinks. Argon-gas system that lets you try glasses of really expensive bottles of wine. If you’re ballin’ on a budget you can make a meal of just the sides, jus sayin.

Hands down best restaurant on the peninsula. James beard nominated. The best cocktail list. Super fresh and seasonal menu. Reservations are usually booked out a couple weeks but if you can get in you should.

Old school Wisconsin bar. Great food. I love the burgers but they serve them on white bread with American cheese which some folks don’t appreciate. Pickles and fried onions is the way to go. Medium rare if you’re bold. Perch on Friday is the best of it. Swedish meatballs on Tuesdays is the peninsulas best kept secret. Get there before 7. Great old fashioneds too.

Breweries

Best beer in Wisconsin potentially. Houses both door county brewing and hacienda, their more experimental and funkier brews. Live music. Outside seating. Cool reclaimed wooden structure. Great beer.

Very well made beer. True to style. Cool location and beautiful spot for sunset looking over the harbor and steel bridge. Close to the Airbnb, a long walk if you’re into such things.

Pico brewery. They never remake the same beer. Most are good. Some are great. They have bumper pool. It’s usually really quiet, most people don’t know about it.

Coffee

A better coffee shop than you’d ever expect to be in a town of 9900. Perhaps the best I’ve ever been to. Costly perhaps but whatever, inflation and yolo. I have pour overs here every morning when I’m home. You can sit in the vault behind the bar if you want and no one ever does.

Great afternoon coffee spot. Fantastic baked oatmeal that changes flavor daily and a gluten free quiche made with a potato crust.

Sightseeing

I always feel cliche recommending people go here because it’s the most well known but it’s also the absolute coolest. Formed of the Niagara Escarpment by glaciers. A cool walking path and you can climb along the rocks and caves if you’re adventurous.
