Sightseeing

The waterfront side of Downtown San Diego is a great place to take a walk, see some sights and enjoy great food. This area is home to Waterfront Park, Portside Pier, the Midway Museum and (on its south end) Seaport Village.

This is one of my favorite spots to see a 360 view of San Diego! It's not too far from La Jolla / Pacific Beach so it's a good pit stop between the beach and the AirBnb.

Appropriately named, this is a wonderful spot for a breezy stroll while watching the sunset.

Little Italy is just walking distance from Downtown and the Waterfront and home to some delicious Italian cuisine. There are too many Italian restaurants to choose from to list, but definitely check out Mona Lisa Deli for the best sandwiches and Pappalecco for some gelato. They also have a fantastic Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings!

Craft Beer Scene

San Diego is home to over a hundred fantastic breweries, so definitely try some of our local offerings. Some of our personal favorite breweries are Harland Brewing (locations in Bay Park, Del Mar & Scripps Ranch), Societe Brewing Company (Clairemont Mesa) and Modern Times (Point Loma, North Park & Encinitas).

Limited Public Transportation

Unfortunately San Diego's Public Transportation system isn't too expansive. From Clairemont Mesa, it is easiest to visit the various neighborhoods with either your own vehicle or through ride share (Uber/Lyft).
