We love this place because: They serve vegan food that resembles non-vegan originals, but without using any replacement products. Everything tastes magnificent, the atmosphere is very laid-back, very fair prices for the quality you get, LGBTQI+ ally by all means.

Having spent some time in North America, one of the things that fascinate me in Berlin is that although you can find quality Asian food, you cannot find Ramen that can even resemble the ones in the US or in Canada. This place is the best Ramen place that I could discover till now. Again, probably it won't impress a North American, but still it is a very decent option. One advantage is, it is close to the heart of Kreuzberg (Kottbusser Damm).

If you want to go west, maybe do some shopping etc., this might be somewhere you stop by for dinner, if you like red meat. Very tiny and cosy place with friendly (english-speaking) staff. People ask all the time where they can get a more than average currywurst? Here you go. I am not a fan of wurst, so maybe not the person to get advice from, but worth a try. Pommes (fries) is also good.

Turkish Döner is a thing in Berlin, and this place is by far the most notorious one. Small kiosk serving thousands every day. Almost a tourist attraction. If the weather is nice (I mean no rain, no clouds, no wind), this is a spot you want to be as a tourist. It has a 360 degree Berlin skyline, located at the top of a historical shopping mall. The entrance is a bit weird, you take the elevator and climb on top this mall and enter a parking lot and start asking yourself what the hell is happening. But then it is worth it.
Might require a small entrance fee depending on the day and time.

If you want to use Underground (U-bahn)
U-Mehringdamm is 7 mins walk from home, and it is at the intersection of U7 and U6.
U6 will take you to the official city center (Mitte) in two-three stops, where a lot of tourist attractions are located (such as the Checkpoint Charlie, the Jewish Memorial, etc.).
Using instead the U7 line will either take you to the heart of the Kreuzkölln region (Hermannstraße stop) in the east, or to Schöneberg-Wilmersdorf in the west.
