If a dive bar and a diner had a baby, the Sportsman would be it. They make their own sausage here, and the selection changes daily. A great spot for breakfast!

Probably one of our favorite spots in the area to eat at. This restaurant is in downtown Sonora so it's a short drive away, but definitely worth it.

Come early to get a bacon maple sticky bun (they always sell out!). A perfect place for coffee and pastries for breakfast, and eggs Benedict on Sundays. Outside seating is dog friendly.

About 20 minutes away from the cabin, but this is your typical full service grocery store. Excellent deli and meat counter, perfect for all you need to BBQ on the deck!

I love coming here to hike all the way around the lake on the Pinecrest Loop trail. In the summer, check out the lake's movie schedule and catch a show under the stars. The general store has everything you might need if you come here to hang out for the day.

Check road conditions and weather in the winter
For the past few winters, we've had quite a lot of snow fall, resulting in road closures due to downed trees and power lines. While we are in a residential area, there are times when the county road clearing crews cannot access our streets. Please be prepared with 4wd and/or chains when visiting Twain Harte in the winter when snow may be present.
Phrases utiles
Power outages
Because we are in the forest, there is a chance that a tree could fall on a power line and knock power out to the entire neighborhood. It happens on occasion, especially in inclement weather.
We want to set expectations that this is a possibility and if it does happen while you're here, we will share power restoration updates as we receive them from PG&E.
