We love walking to HopMonk Tavern from our home, we take the Joe Rodata Trail and it dead ends into the Tavern's parking lot. We enjoy sitting outside on the patio, they tend to have live music on the weekends, and are also dog friendly. Pippa loves it there too.

This is a cute little farm to fork cafe in downtown Santa Rosa. Their menu changes with the season, but they cater very well to the brunch scene. If you go you have to try their Whiskey Carmel Waffle, so delicious. They have amazing biscuits too and they tend to sell out. Always try whatever fresh juice is on the menu too.

Incredible steaks! It's a bit pricey but a wonderful place for a special anniversary dinner or something similar. We locals try to hit up their happy hour which is Monday-Saturday from 3 p.m.- 6 p.m.

Parks & Nature
This is a great place to go hiking with full coastal views. It holds a special place for us because my husband and I got married on the beach down in the cove. There are breathtaking views, depending on time of year you may see whales and seals down in the water. We also love climbing the rocks and going down to see tide pools.

This is a great beach that we most frequently go to. You can park on the road and walk into the park, or just pay the $5-7 parking fee. It's a decent length so we usually do morning hikes on the weekends out here when we're in bodega. It's dog friendly as long as your dog is on leash. There is a beach on opposite side (harbor side) where dogs can go off leash. There are picnic tables, bathrooms, volleyball courts, and bbq pits so a fun place to be all around.

There is a beach on opposite side (harbor side) where dogs can go off leash. There are picnic tables, bathrooms, volleyball courts, and bbq pits so a fun place to be all around.

This is another family friendly beach, tends to get really windy out here, but it's the ideal place for surfers. Oh, the parking lot tends to fill up quick in the mornings too.

There are a lot of great hiking trails out this way, and if you're in town you have to stop at Tomales Bay Oyster Company and get yourself some oysters. You can sit on the picnic tables and shuck them yourself or order from their menu.

If you don't have floaties, they rent inner tubes, kayaks, canoes, umbrellas, and more. They also have a little shake shack that serves burgers, beers, etc. You can't bring outside alcohol or glass bottles, but can bring other drinks and food in.

We come up here every Summer to go boating. We always see plenty of kayakers and paddle boarders out on the water. We usually camp and stay here with friends on long weekends.
