Pigpen is an easy walk from the house. It's a casual yard bar with a food trailer in the back. It's a great place to hang out and watch sports or enjoy some music. They also have a brunch although we prefer other places like Rosella at the Garden.

A recent addition to the neighborhood this is one of the few "pubs" you will find in SA. Cozy and warm along with plenty of TV's and live music on certain nights. One of our favorites.

Food Scene
The location of Rosella Coffee is actually called Rosella at the Garden because it's located inside the Botanical Gardens in the historical Sullivan Carriage House (circa 1896). It's an easy 2 minute walk from the house and the brunch is wonderful with outdoor seating if wanted.

This place is just hard to beat for lunch. If you've gone to the Doseum or the Witte and ready to eat this is it. AN OWNER FAVORITE.

We could go on and on but if you want a break from Starbucks along with great food and a relaxing vibe from being in a refurbished historical house. AN OWNER FAVE!!!

This is absolutely one of our favorite restaurants in San Antonio. When we stay in our own Botanical Gardens house this is our go to restaurant. It easily competes with any offering at Pearl and you will feel like a "local" when you dine. The brunch's are legendary in the neighborhood. Who knows you may even have a celebrity sighting. Tommy Lee Joes lives up the street.
They probably put it best. Cappy's offers casual fine dining and warm hospitality in a relaxed setting, serving contemporary American cuisine, thoughtfully executed. Best quality seafood, prime steaks and regional specials are the focus of the brunch, lunch and dinner menus.

If you play golf this is an ABSOLUTE must. This course is not only beautiful and well maintained but is a piece of golf history. Opening in 1916 it's the oldest 18 hole golf course in Texas. It was the site of the Texas Open from 1922-1959. Walter Hagen, Sam Snead and Bryon Nelson all won Open's here. Why not take a few steps in their golf shoes?
