Little history of the area and has animals and an amazing Hand crafted carousel ,with New York State history in every touch of artwork attached to it. Learn the history of hops in Otsego county , what put this are on the map in the 1800’s great for history or small children needing to run around in fresh air.

Yes. Ooperstown is about half hour away and not to be missed, if you have a large party and not everyone want to go to the hall of fame ,that’s ok, Cooperstown has a day of fun for everyone in the family. Go visit the lake ,the other two museums,or just shop and sit Nd people watch ,pretend your a local enjoying the day go by.

Go visit the lake ,the other two museums,or just shop and sit Nd people watch ,pretend your a local enjoying the day go by.

5798 NY-80Yes this is one of my favorites, some times we go just to sit out side at the cafe,just to have alight lunch and enjoy this quiet spot on the lake, there are always great exibits and new things to see each and every time you go. Something for all ages. And if your lucky and you like theater in the park you can catch a show this summer.
This is a must see,if you are an opera fan go on over and see what is available , the opera grounds are fun to see as well. Great little cafe and ask for Liz tell her Alice and Sergio sent you,she can tell you everything there is to know about where to find info for everything at the Glimmerglass opera house,she is one of the few that has been there since the doors opened and have evolved into this amazing gem along the lake.

This is a local secret for the best breakfast on a local maple farm, use to be Sunday on,y now it is Saturday and Sunday morning. Check before you head over, they should be listed. It is a family owned and farm with farm raised eggs,and homemade maple smoked bacon with fluffy pancakes. Each year they change up the menu a bit to keep it interesting. If your lucky they will have farm fresh veggies
