This is a quiet, beautiful bird/nature reserve on Launceston's doorstep, just a short trip up the West Tamar highway. It is worth spending an a hour or two up there to enjoy the quietness of the river, the calls of the birds and frogs, the wind in the reeds, and Tamar Island's unique story.
