One of my favorite places to hang out to eat great food and listen to live music. It is Indian/Middle-eastern done well, with an all-you-can-eat table service option (come hungry!). Live performances are mesmerizing but not too loud, which still allows for good dinner table conversation

Granville Island is not actually an island, but a peninsula under the Granville St bridge, with a huge food market, loads of shops featuring masterful artisan, and evening entertainment. Take the water taxi here for the full experience, as parking can be a challenge in the summer. Watch out for seagulls as they try to steal your lunch!!

Parks & Nature

Iconic Vancouver beach, with views for miles! Bike there, and continue along all the beaches out to Spanish Banks to the West, or over the Burrard Street bridge to access the downtown parks/Stanley Park beaches. Borrow a volleyball net from the lifeguards, just using personal ID. Lean up against a log and take in the views for hours

Completely surrounded by nature, with views to the west and north, this beach is protected and often the warmest! It can be accessed with bike, bus, or car (although parking can be tough on a sunny weekend day). Decent food concession stand - for yummy fries and ice cream!
