Built in 1859 it is just one of seven such instruments remaining in the UK! The Obscura is blessed with a panoramic view extending to Liverpool Bay, the Pier, Little Orme, Penmaenmawr and Anglesey.

At over one mile each way, it's the longest Aerial Cabin Lift in the UK. However, it is actually located beside the Camera Obscura and goes up to the Orme Summit (marker is in the wrong place!)

Conwy Castle protects the medieval walled town of Conwy. Built in 1283, today it is one of the best preserved castles in North Wales. A must see!

Just a 10-minute walk from the house you find yourself at the top of town with lots of good Restaurants of all nationalities and price ranges. There are also lots of pubs, bars and cafes.
