Columbian Park is the town park that has a little bit of everything for the family or just enjoy strolling round.

Large swim park with multiple water slides, toddler area, sand volleyball, concession stand.
There are various playgrounds throughout the park, pond for lite fishing or watching the ducks. A small train can take you around the park,(fee) or enjoy a stroll ad relaxing on a bench.
Catch the Lafayette Aviators Baseball Game during the spring and summer seasons. During the summer, you can often catch some live music and events throughout the park.

Our mall is located a 10 in drive from the apt or you can catch the city bus.
the main stores are Kohls, JPC, Dick's Sporting Goods and Macy's. Or enjoy the various smaller shops. There are some eateries at the mall and chain restaurants that surround the mall.

You can't miss this place as you travel up State St hill in W. Lafayette. It id the tiny, mom & pop style diner located in the bright orange and brown building. This is a must to meet the locals and many from afar, (seating is close so you have no choice) enjoy a sandwiched named after football players, or the great American breakfast anytime.
Warning-if you want to be part of the home Purdue football crowd, this place is packed early (6am) with the Breakfast Club. This is a group of die heard fans that dress crazy, have a lot of fun and start the tail gating early, very early.
This place only accepts cash. ATM inside is available.

They a variety of from easy, take the kids to more difficult trails that include climbing wooden ladders . Check out the nature center, and our favorite, kayaking or canoeing through the park. (located just outside the park entrance across the street) Kayaking, canoeing and tubing are smooth even young kids can do. Take plenty of water no matter what you choose at Turkey Run.
