These guys are a lunchy place where you can sit inside where there are very few tables or sit outside under their umbrella tables (much preferred). They have really great salads, sandwiches, and specialty meat and vegetarian dishes. They also do catering. I love going here as well.

Yum, Yum, Yum... Chicken Waffles? Tater Tots - but their way? All organic (except maybe the champagne - is champagne organic? who cares after a couple...) There is ALWAYS a line at Ma Mosas - for a reason. They are that good. Weekdays are not AS bad as weekends, but you simply must try this place.

This place is a little bit fancier than some of the places in Grants Pass, but you can still wear shorts and tank tops to it. I'd give it three Yums. They make crazy good Tater Tots (can you tell I'm into Tater Tots?). And, they make really awesome dipping sauce for your Tots. They also have other types of food that I remember as being super yum (x3). And specialty adult beverages.

Last time I was at Blondies I had their Halibut - I thought about it for a week after. It was that good. Usually I take a little bit home of my meal, not that time. I ate it all. In one sitting. And I Did. Not. Care. Who. Saw. Me. They also have specialty adult beverages. It kind of took me a while to try out Blondies (even though I had heard they were really great). The reason was that they were in a strip mall. I don't know why I'm a location snob I guess. But give them a try. Once you are through the front door, you cannot tell you are in a strip mall. Nice place. Nice people.

This is an old fashioned café style experience. Wholesome food, no surprises, but a LOT of it, and bonus - they make the best dang pies. Everyday. So good... It would be lovely to have a cool banana cream pie out on by the pool on a hot summer night... just sayin'.

This breakfast and lunch café gives you a lot of stick to your ribs food. If you are on a diet, this is not the place to go. For one thing, the dang cinnamon roll is as big as a platter. Only order one of those puppies, with extra forks - it serves four easily. Big servings, and really nice people.

A very traditional Chinese joint. The place is straight out of the 70s, prices are as well. Inexpensive and good sized portions. The food is very good and has been in the same family for three generations. When I'm craving Chinese food like I grew up on, this is the place.

This is a family owned and operated Thai restaurant where the owners take personal pride at delivering a superior product. Personally I cannot do super spicy food, so they make mine special - great taste, but my food doesn't hurt me. Highly recommend.

OK, no doubt you will make it over to Medford at some point, if you do, pick me up a loaf of their bread OK? This place is good old fashioned food at a very decent price and they have pies, yes homemade - or at least at their café made - that are really, really good. Cinnamon Rolls? Oh, yeah... as an appetizer. Share one - with three or four people. Three YUMs from me.

Our Tasting Room, The Honor Barn, was built as part of the original property in 1900 and has earned a place on National Register of Historic Places along with 10 other structures still on the property. The Honor Barn earned its name from the local community who purchased their fresh peaches, pears, and apples and left their money in the “honor box” to pay. The honor system is still very much alive and well at RoxyAnn where every year Hillcrest Fruit can still be found for sale right outside the doors of the Tasting Room. In 2003, a small part of the barn was converted into RoxyAnn’s first Tasting Room and it quickly became apparent that more space was needed to accommodate the demand that met the first limited releases of Claret and Pinot Gris. So, in 2006, the entire barn was renovated into a spacious tasting room with a state of the art kitchen, tasting bar, expansive seating, and a temperature-controlled storage room. The original beams and hardwood plank floors still remain and we proudly pass on the history of our tasting room through one of our popular red blends, the Honor Barn Red.

DANCIN is a love story. It is the marriage of science and art. The pairing of fine wine with delicious food, and the sincere passion of Dan and Cindy. DANCIN is an annual dance with nature and humanity, with vines and wines, which are primarily named after movements within ballet, a form of dance wherein dedication, discipline and balance are in submission to the grace and beauty of the final performance. Within a year of their storybook meeting in 1995, Dan and Cindy (DANCIN) began researching wine and viticulture at UC Davis, and twelve years later, they discovered a perfect plot of land nestled within the forested foothills of southern Oregon, just outside of the gold rush community of Jacksonville. A northwest facing slope, benefitting from the late afternoon shade provided by the surrounding tall pines and cedars, it would become the perfect terroir for growing Pinot noir and Chardonnay with a sense of place. Planted to seven distinct clones of Pinot noir and four different clones of Chardonnay, the vineyards are meticulously maintained through continual assessment during each and every facet of the growing season, making every effort to achieve vine balance. At the point of perfect ripeness, each cluster is hand harvested and sorted, first in the vineyard, and then twice more on the crushpad, as their limited production exquisite Pinot noirs are hand-crafted using minimalist, old world techniques that complement the practices in the vineyard. You are invited to join us on our journey as we discover the multi-faceted flavors of Pinot noir and Chardonnay! Please note that DANCIN is a smoke-free property. Outside food or drinks are not permitted.

Born of an Oregon donation land claim, this land is a destination facility rich in history and grace. Eden Valley Orchards is the birthplace of the Oregon pear industry and a historical leader of innovative agriculture. It is presently taking another leading role in a new regional rebirth of wine making. EdenVale wines first released in 2003 feature Tempranillo, Syrah, Late Harvest Viognier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sumptuous red and white table wine blends. This gracious mansion and picturesque property in the heart of pear country is the "place and story" that anchors the Rogue Valley's agricultural history. It also is the perfect location for elegant, private events.

Applegate is home to many birds, wildlife and several extraordinary fisheries; trout and bass being the most popular. Trails around the lake lead you on the 17.5 mile shoreline. The Lake offers convenient boat launching, day use picnicking, swimming, RV and tent site camping, and a convenient general store. Throughout the season many enjoy the clear fresh water of the lake for triathlons, bass tournaments, or special family get togethers. Applegate Lake is 23 miles from Medford and 30 miles from Grant’s Pass creating a relaxing and beautiful riverside drive lined with vineyards and horse farms. Of course you can also rest along the way at one of the many fine wine tasting rooms. Applegate Lake was formed in 1980 when the Army Corp of Engineers constructed the earthen filled dam to control fish and watershed. Located beyond the dam is Hart-tish Park where the General Store offers a supply of snacks, cold drinks, ice and those famous night-crawlers. Stop in and purchase your day pass or get a camp site. Maybe just spend a little time and catch up on the latest fish story. Applegate Lake is 1986ft. above sea level where the water is regulated by snow run off from the rocky cliffs of Red Bluff Mountains. The lake is open for fishing year round, however the store and camp sites are seasonal. Operating May thru September. The Applegate Recreation Area has four well maintained camp parks nearby, two gorgeous day use swimming areas, and dry RV parking available for your enjoyment. Take a drive and enjoy the beautiful world of the Applegate. Our no wake lake with a speed limit of 10 miles per hour makes a nice quiet place to kick back and relax. Pack up, drive to the Applegate, and we will see you at the lake.

In 1938, the year the Rogue first opened, the theatre was a beacon of the American Spirit. In its heyday, the Rogue offered Rogue Valley residents a place to escape from the daily struggle of life during the depression, a place to experience the wonders of the latest cinema technology and a place for the community to come together – for first dates, birthdays and community celebrations. Today, the Theatre is still a special place in the hearts and minds of Rogue Valley citizens; special to both longtime residents and newcomers alike because it stands as a proud symbol of Southern Oregon’s history, serves as a powerful catalyst for downtown economic revitalization and provides a venue for a diverse array of arts and cultural events that celebrate the human spirit, bringing people of all ages together to be entertained and inspired.

Britt Music & Arts Festival, a non-profit organization, is the Pacific Northwest's premier outdoor summer performing arts festival. Located in the historic 1850s gold rush town of Jacksonville, Oregon (USA), Britt presents dozens of summer concerts, featuring world-class artists in classical music, jazz, blues, folk, bluegrass, world, pop and country music. Britt's performance venue is a naturally formed amphitheater set among majestic ponderosa pines and native madrones on the beautiful hillside estate of 19th century photographer Peter Britt. Viewing a map of the facility will give you a clearer picture of how we have combined stadium seating within this natural setting. Tens of thousands of music lovers travel from all over the West to enjoy Britt's world-class performances, spectacular scenery and casual, relaxing atmosphere. I hit up all the Rock and Roll, Jazz, and Comedy that comes through. I've only been marginally disappointed once. The Britt is a small venue (2,200 max) Every seat is a great seat, and the seat prices are not outrageous. I love it because it's a 30 minute drive from my front door and for most concerts we can bring our own food and adult beverage inside and picnic.

NOTE: The title says Gospel Rescue Mission's ... , because this section wouldn't let me enter this topic with out putting something down. (and this is a good place to start for random things that are cool). REAL TITLE: JUNK STORES - GARAGE SALES - THRIFT STORES - ANTIQUE STORES One thing this area is known for is our awesome junk stores - (way less expensive than 'antique' stores). We have a ton of them. There are great Antique Stores as well - pretty much all of them are fun to go to and you never know what you will find. But the Junk Stores, Thrift Stores, or Discovery Shops - there's where you are going to find the good stuff. The kind of stuff if you squint your eyes just right, you will see what you can make it look like - for a song! Southern Oregon, and especially Grants Pass, is a retirement community. Therefore, we have an 'older' demographic. Hence the region caters to things that older people like, and when the time comes, they have an Estate Sale - and boy this town has at least two or ten each weekend. Awesome things. It's like a scavenger hunt, or a treasure hunt - you decide.
