From the city center you can reach the big "Meia Praia" beach by either a little boat that crosses the Marina canal (about 0.50Eur) or via the walking bridge that takes you through the Lagos Marina (nice place to go for a snack or drink as well).

Beautiful small cliff beach with turquoise sea water, it gets crowded in early morning so you may want to be one of the first getting there! Be aware of the stairs too!
