The coffee is great and they have really tasty baked goods. It's a little farther away but worth the ride. They have some unique ways of roasting and brewing their coffee.

There are three taco joints near the intersection of Armitage and Western avenues. Lazos, Arturos, and Las Asadas. How does one choose? Well Arturo's has the biggest sign at the corner, and draws the late-night (read: drunk) clientele. Like Arturo's, Lazo's is open 24 hours. But Lazo's is also three times larger, has a full bar and sometimes there is live music and salsa dancing. It's as good a spot to go for a two-margarita lunch as it is to grab a drunken meal. What to eat? Don't miss the al pastor tacos and try the green salsa. The carnitas and chicken tacos are good."

Girl and the Goat is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. It is really hard to get a reservation but if you walk in, the lounge area is first come, first serve. It's a bit pricey but worth every $.

They feature one of the best selections of craft, import, and limited-release beers available. In addition, they have a great wine selection and full bar. They do coffee and pastries in the morning. There is always a motorcycle or two out front and the atmosphere is very laid back/chill.
