This station has two key tram lines - very close to the apartment - you can go to Alexanderplatz real fast with M2. You can also take the M10 and go to Friedrichshain (if you take the direction going east or to Mitte and Hauptbahnhof (Berlin's main station, if you take the direction going west). It's all easy and fast.

My Belgian friend Bart opened this place in schoenhauser Allee, it is without doubt my favourite bar in the whole of Berlin - it's friendly, dark but not spooky, and the music doesn't make you shout. Bart only serves Belgian beers, better and lesser known.

Food Scene
Hands down, the best Asian place in the area. You MUST try it for yourselves. Service can get a little spooky sometimes, but hey, it's an asian restaurant in Berlin - don't expect to make friends to anyone. Try the Wan-Tan soup - it's amazing.

This place was recently opened and last time I checked it, had very few visitors. And that's being said despite it being a very attractive place with gourmet style dishes, some of them were quite amazing, and quite fair priced in my opinion.

Da Angelo is the best Italian Place in my neighbourhood, with some attractive lunch deals. I liked the fish soup a lot.
