The plateia is the center of uptown. Great navigational point for banks, coffee shops, real shopping. Night time comes alive with music venues, places to socialize and have fun.

Great location to sit by the seaside and have taverna style food with the best olive oil ever. They might sell you a can if you ask me and I can tell you how to have it shipped!

Restaurant Yamas, by far the most unique food in Kalamata, reasonably priced, super service. If you want to get away from taverna food this is the spot to enjoy.
