The most popular brunch spot in North Beach. No reservations and really long lines, but if you get there early (8am), the wait is much shorter. Known for its Monte Cristo sandwich.

Tony's is arguably the best pizza in SF - they have a variety of different coal-fired types. Instead of waiting 2 hrs to get a table, head over the Slicehouse to get slices to-go or call-in a made-to-order pizza.

In the main 'food court' area, you can get a variety of dishes, including dim sum, traditional Chinese dishes, and a great sesame soft-serve with mango shaved ice dessert. Walk-in only.

High-end at an affordable price point. I've been 3 times and it's never disappointed! For $35, you get a 3-course pre-fixe menu! And if you want, add the $10 pasta supplement, which I like to split between 2 people. Because it's so popular, advanced reservations required.

Experience the famous Cruffin - croissant + muffin. Arrive early so you don't have to wait in line too long. But oh my, the boxes are so fabulous as well.
