Tour the Tower of Americas. Downstairs there is a movie to watch about the Alamo and upstairs in an observation deck. Skip paying for the observation deck by dining at the restaurant on the top, Charter House. Reservations recommended.

The San Antonio River Walk has both a commerical section for restaurant and bars as well as the Mission Reach section which takes you to additional missions. The Mission Reach area of the River Walk isn't as commerical and has more of a natural setting. You can ride bikes, walk, run, skate, etc. All of this is within walking distance from our home!

This is a wonderful public park that only 1/2 block from our duplex. It has an outdoor swimming pool that is open seasonally. There are places to picnic, playground, basketball courts, bike rental stations and access to the Mission Reach section of the River Walk.
