The Lodge has a steakhouse with excellent food. This is on the more expensive side on the mountain but a great place to go for a nice meal. Reservations are recommended.

Entertainment & Activities

This is the main ski area with the harder areas and the snow park. You can take Chairlift #8 from outside the condo and then ski down to Giant Steps to buy your lift tickets (just tell the lift operator you are going over to buy lift tickets and they will let you on for free). Then, at the end of the day you can ski back to Chairlift #8 and walk back to the condo. We like to get out early and ski Giant Steps early in the morning before the crowds arrive. Then, we eat and early lunch and ski back towards the condo to Chairlift #1 to ski the back side of Navajo mountain for the afternoon. The Giant Steps Lodge has a self service restaurant down stairs and a sit-down/bar upstairs.

Navajo lodge is the beginner's side of the mountain for learning to ski and they also have tubing as well. They have a nice "magic carpet" and some easy lifts for those learning to ski. You can also rent your ski equipment here, but go early as the lines can get long in the morning! Also has decent food. http://www.brianhead.com

Parks & Nature

Another famous national park with amazing canyons an hour and a half drive away. Not to be missed if you have time to visit it, but take note of any potential mountain road closures during winter time. For a medium two mile hike, take the Navajo Loop trail starting on the south loop (Wall Street) with absolutely stunning natural rock formations. For a bit more of a challenge add the Peekaboo Loop Train for another 3.5 miles but absolutely stunning views and rock formations. Highly recommended! In the winter, can be a bit difficult to get there, so make sure to check the road conditions first! https://www.alltrails.com/parks/us/utah/bryce-canyon-national-park

One of the most beautiful national parks in the country and only an hour and a half drive away. Make sure to hike the Angels Landing Trail (not an easy hike) for beautiful views. An easier/more relaxing hike is the Riverside Walk at the Temple of Sinawava. The Lower and Upper Emerald Pool trails across from the Zion Lodge is another relaxing and beautiful hike. There may be some snow in winter, but the part is accessible by coming in from the I-15 side. https://www.alltrails.com/parks/us/utah/zion-national-park

They have a lot of general food and tourist items here, similar to the Brian Head General Store. This is also the Brian Head Post Office as well as serves as the state liquor store here up on the mountain. Not a tremendous alcohol selection, but beats driving down the mountain!
