Macarons & French pastries. Enough said! If you love french macarons (think Laduree) this place is a must! They have great coffee and sandwiches/salad/lunch.

Great diner and some locations open 24 hrs a day. Their chicken tortilla soup is second to none and their prices are affordable. Homemade pies and cakes too!

Originally from Denver, CO. Snooze is a great brunch spot for families and friends. I still prefer Jim's :) over Snooze but they do have alcoholic beverages and great mimosas.

This place is iconic and has been open since 1941. It is unique for many reasons, they serve breakfast. lunch & diner and is open 24/7! they have a bakery and provide great pan dulce (sweet bread) and also have mariachis who play here every day of the week.

If you like wood-fired, NY Style pizza, this place is legit. The chain is originally from Brooklyn, NY so the crust is thin and crispy. They have a good selection of pizzas, salads and drinks (beer & wine).

I love the ambience at Kona Grill plus they have a great Happy Hour with various rolls and drinks at a decent price. You can get sushi + drink for ~$20 during HH.

It's a really cool spot with public art, paletas (icecream bars) and right across the Tower of the Americas so you can take in some amazing views. During summer they have a splash pad and you can enjoy some sighseeing/people watching all in one.

If you are looking for a different experience, Carmen's De La Calle is it! they have live flamenco dancers, tapas and sangria. It is one of my favorite places. Not family friendly though.

Paramour is an eclectic roof top bar located in downtown SA. They not only serve alcoholic drinks, but have a great coffee bar. Overall, the space is beautiful, and feels and looks different than any other bar in town.
They're open during the day and have a Sunday Brunch.
They do have a dress code for evenings.

The Pearl district includes wonderful restaurants (Il Sogno, La Gloria, Cured) and amaing coffee (Local Coffee & Bakery Loraine) + shopping. It also offers easy access to the San Antonio Riverwalk. Every Saturday and Sunday there is a large farmer's market with great food, music, and people watching. So much to so and see at the Pearl, it's a must-see.
