This restaurant offers unique Mexican food; all of it is really great and are known for their Margaritas! They have live latin music on the weekends. It is a bit loud inside but you can ask to sit outside for a quieter experience.

This is a favorite restaurant from my childhood and I was happy when it was added it to our local restaurants in Downtime Brea! Great place for families and kids. They will love the ice cream and desert choices.

Paul and I frequently go here to get their chicken tortilla soup, hamburgers, or sandwiches. Great selection of beers as well. It is loud inside so ask to seat outside if you want to have a real conversation.

This is a very unique, fun, and interesting experience for mostly the school aged children. Thought provoking and interactive exhibits. Adults love it too....Not far away - 57 south to the 5 south about 15 minutes in light traffic.

Smaller zoo especially nice for the young kids and not so big it tires the adults out! Lots of different monkeys and a play ground area for the kids as well.Also very reasonable priced! About 15 minutes away

This is another alternative for a fun theme park to visit. Especially suited for young children and very reasonably priced. I used to take my children there frequently when they were young! Groupon has coupons for this as well!

This is a wonderful park, very kid friendly! You can rent bikes, bring a picnic and they have pony and train rides for the children.

This regional park in Brea includes a pond for fishing, playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball courts, bike and hiking trails. There are a crop of beautiful Redwood trees here- you must hike to these trees and see them, easy hike and well worth it.

4442 Carbon Canyon RdThis regional park in Brea includes a pond for fishing, playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball courts, bike and hiking trails. There are a crop of beautiful Redwood trees here- you must hike to these trees and see them, easy hike and well worth it.
Arts & Culture
This takes a farther drive to L.A. but is a wonderful art museum. Worth the trip if you have never been. It will take you a good part of the day and I would not suggest it for small children,
