Part of the chic Artist Residence Hotel, this cocktail bar hits the spot with really cool decor and a distant view of the sea if you get the window seat. Not your average cocktails or surroundings - worth a visit if you are over Hove way or down by the beach.

My favourite food in Brighton at the moment..and super close to the apartment. Fabulous local independent bistro run by a lovely couple. Gorgeous cocktails and tasty, well-priced seasonal menus.

A Brighton pizza institution - very casual, this authentic, italian-run pizza place is in an old garage and a bit rough and ready but the pizza is to-die-for - so worth it if that's what you fancy

I love having breakfast at this cafe on Trafalgar Street - its a lovely sun trap outside sitting outside on the street and the coffee and bacon rolls are the best.

Great seafood restaurant - buzzy atmosphere and right in the middle of the North Laines - the weekday lunch deal is great value, although you can't book - just turn up and hope for the best!

Take your breath away historic building - anyone who is interested in history or art should see this, at least from the outside, although the interior is incredible if you decide to pay the entrance fee and go inside. Would highly recommend!
