Mount Washington Hotel is an iconic historic hotel set athe base of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the northeast US. Enjoy a meal, cog railway (need reservations) skiing , golfing, hiking or enjoy the views from the top by driving up. Pass through North Conway along the way for many shops , restaurants, movie theater and outlet stores. North Conway is about 30 minutes drive, and an hour and 15 minutes drive.
Also nearby is the iconic scenic highway called the Kancamagus Highway that stretches from Conway, NH to Lincoln, NH. You just might see a moose along the way.

Burnt Meadow Mountain offers a nearby trailhead for moderately challenging hike taking about 1.5 hours to the peak and round trip about 2.5 miles. The trail head 10 minute drive from the house. Offers beautiful views!
