The store is good for what I need and stays open a bit later which has been useful many times. Please note it is Midtown and you will see people of all kinds, including homeless, college grads, young professionals, etc.

GO DURING THE DAY. It's not a bad place but looks sketchy. Their produce is usually quality and prices are awesome, they also have a wide variety of ethnic foods, sauces and seasonings, so if you couldn't find it at the other stores, you'll probably find it here.

GO DURING THE DAY. It's not a bad place but looks sketchy. Their produce is usually quality and prices are awesome, they also have a wide variety of ethnic foods, sauces and seasonings, so if you couldn't find it at the other stores, you'll probably find it here.
It's nicer on the inside than the outside plus there’s wifi and open late. Go during the day because college students pack this place in the evenings.

Gelato.
A MUST VISIT, trust me. I've harassed this shop so much I'm glad they opened another so I can alternate locations. My favorite flavor is the vanilla bean tres leches...it is drool worthy. they have gelatos that are custard or sorbets (I hope I sectioned that correctly), but the customer service and gelato is amazing. Plus they don't make you feel guilty if you want to try a few flavors before buying.

The owners have been in this area for decades I believe and are super friendly, they also do regular bike tours if you're interested. If you're booking during the time it's held, I recommend the larger bike tour as well, Critical Mass, it's the one I do and I LOVE it. You meet so many people and see so much of Houston that natives don't even see, just make sure you have decent stamina or have the uber app on your phone.

Newly renovated massive park. I don't think it's fully completed but the interiors and pool are completed and it's awesome. Plus they making the outdoor sections multi-level and multi-purpose so I'm hoping this means future live music (woot!).

Drinks & Nightlife
Buy a ticket if there will be rain or the shows will be sold out or bring some snacks and drinks and a collapsible chair and hang out with a bunch of other people on the hill above for a free show. They often have awesome live singers/dancers and local acts. I go here once or twice a year at least because it's always a greats time. I often stop by the nearby taco shop for food and drinks first so I can play with the pets on the hill.
