Food Scene

This place is new to the neighborhood, and boy are we glad they picked Red Bank. Pizzeria Cortile is about one mile from the house, making this a choice for a low-key night. The dress is casual, and the food is unique. Pizzas are $10 each with a woodfired flavor. We recommend splitting a salad and pizza.

This local organic juice bar is a great stop for breakfast or lunch with their plant based menu. We recommend grabbing a juice for a guaranteed hangover remedy. We haven’t tried them yet, but the waffles look amazing.

Drinks & Nightlife

Enter in by the basement (bypass the first set of stairs you see going into the first level), and be sure to hit the cozy bar here. We recommend their White Russian. Take the spiral staircase up to the first/ground level where you can sit down for small nibbles or a burger. If you’re not feeling food or the atmosphere, keep climbing to the second level where you can get a night cap and a breath of fresh air overlooking the neighborhood.

Parks & Nature

When you need to fight off the absurd humidity, jump in the car and head to North Chick Blue Hole. This is an easy trail with a ton of places to stop and swim. We would recommend stopping by a Subway or Bread and Butter (both a mile down the street from the house) for a sandwich to take with you.

Arts & Culture

Situated on an 80-foot bluff, the Hunter Museum is a great place to stop and browse wonderful pieces of art and also enjoy the river view. The museum is a perfect size for those curious about art, but it also allows you plenty of time to explore other areas of the city as well. If you happen to be in town on the first Thursday of the month, the museum offers free admission to its permanent collection. The viewing of the special exhibitions is about $5.
