Liberty Public Market is San Diego's smaller answer to Seattle's famed Pike Place Market. It is home to a Lobster Roll shop, taco shop, charcuterie, fabulous raw bar, Empanada stand, homemade pasta shop, fruit stand, burger shop and a few others. It is located in the popular historic Liberty Station, former home to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. There is a full service restaurant, a beer tasting bar and a wine bar.

This is my FAVORITE restaurant. The Gnocchi is to die for. The Insalata Isabella is amazing. The staff is outstanding and the atmosphere perfect. It's not cheap however.

We have not been to Coin Haus but it is popular with younger scene. Huge craft beer selection in a bright and airy arcade in La Mesa Village. Good for a mellow night out.

Petco Park is home to the San Diego Padres and located in the iconic Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego. There is a paid park to watch from the grass if you don't want to invest in tickets.

Sightseeing
Beautiful peaceful area above Point Loma. There is a lighthouse and a museum on sight as well as momument. But the best part is it looks out over the beautiful San Diego Bay. It is so much fun to take a picnic and sit on the wall and watch the naval planes land and take off.

SDSU has a beautiful campus. If its football season, try to land tickets. San Diego State's Donnell Pumphrey is a possible Heisman Contender for 2017-2018. If its basketball season, check an Aztecs game.

Coronado Island is the Aspen of the ocean. Beautiful beaches, stunning homes, picturesque streets, and the Hotel Del Coronado make this island a must stop. Traffic is bad going in and getting out so start early.
