from Wikipedia Floridita (Spanish pronunciation: [floɾiˈðita]) or El Floridita is a historic fish restaurant and cocktail bar in the older part of Havana (La Habana Vieja), Cuba. It lies at the end of Calle Obispo (Bishop Street), across Monserrate Street from the The National Museum of Fine Arts of Havana (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de La Habana). Named after Richard Egües, a flute player and soloist in Cuba’s legendary Orquesta Aragón band, who went by the nickname “the magic flute”, this bar is located on the rooftop of a 10-floor building that is right in front of the United States Embassy in Havana. From its terrace, one has a clear view of the Embassy from above followed by the beautiful seafront Malecon. This bar, which also doubles as a restaurant during the late hours of the afternoon, offers the usual range of cocktails like daiquiri and mojitos. However, they have an extensive rum selection that includes the full Havana Club portfolio. The bar’s jazz nights feature some of Cuba’s most notable musicians

I love it when things are not what it appears. La Guarida is in the most unsuspecting place. The street is dark and not much activity. The building itself is gorgeous but looked abandoned. Until you get up the 3rd floor and there is an amazing restaurant. Don't just wait at the rooftop bar, there is another winding stair case that takes you to a top roof (no bar) but seating with an amazing view. The service is great. English spoken. The suckling duck was out of this world.

Garden, tropical setting. Sitting outside but well protected from elements. Efficient, attentive wait staff. Able to respond to specific needs of patrons. Excellent preparations, with Paella and Fish in a bag as features. Best Flan of our trip. Expensive by Cuba standards, but well worth it. One of the best Paladars in Havana.

This is a fantastic restaurant right on the river (you might even get a little spray if you sit on the edge). The outdoor deck is perfect and the food is excellent. They specialize in seafood and it is very fresh -- like just a few hours fresh. In fact, the menu varies depending on what was caught that day. You can't beat that! This one is not to be missed.
