The Buffalo Ranch Cross Country Course is the legendary home to the University's world renown running team where several Olympians made their debut. It also is a wonderful place for everyday folks to walk, run, spend off-leash time with their dogs and enjoy the views of the Flatirons.

This is a great park. Around Viele Lake is a lovely walking path with fitness stations. There also is a large playground for children and rain-covered picnic area.

This trailhead has a paved bike path and gravel trail. It's great for cyclists, walkers and runners. Dogs are also welcome and posted signs say where they must be on-leash vs off-leash. These trails also give a great view of the mountains and Flatirons.

This is a large off-leash dog park. There is an area for big dogs, a separate area for small dogs, and a third area for water-loving dogs to play in the pond.
East Boulder Off-Leash Dog Park

Mt. Sanitas is one of the "easier" summits in Boulder and provides wonderful views of the city. It is the most winter friendly trail since most of it is in direct sunlight keeping too much snow/ice from accumulating. Dogs are allowed off-leash for most of the trail.
