Rangitoto can be seen all along the waterfront, and is iconic to Auckland's landscape. It is a dormant volcano which you can hike up if you please. Catch a ferry to Rangitoto from Auckland City ferry terminal.

Built in 1929, The Civic was an outstanding example of the ‘atmospheric cinema’ with a unique soft-top design that floats above the auditorium, allowing the famed stars and clouds effect that is a recreation of the Southern Hemisphere sky-scape. The Civic is only open for big theatre performances.
