One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Eat local cuisine in a super cozy setting. They have a phenomenal Sunday brunch. AND it's BYOB, so bring champagne for mimosas & they'll bring the OJ.

If you want to try New Orleans BBQ shrimp, this is the place to go! The oyster shucker is kinda famous. Also a great place to try a Sazerac. This is a local favorite that's been here for a 100 years.

Some of the best BBQ in New Orleans. Go on an empty stomach. I may take you there as an excuse to get a pulled pork sandwich. Their slaw is more vinegar based. So. Good. We take our family here. local

Entertainment & Activities
One of the best Aquariums (and I've been to a bunch). This is a great family activity. Don't miss the jellyfish exhibit! and the penguins, and the tunnel, and the.. well you get the point. Fun 4 All!

Okay.. this place is definitely not for the squeamish. Just know that nothing can "get you" here. A very fun family activity. The butterfly garden is free to walk through and very cool. Two thumbs up!

A beautiful zoo. While I'm not the biggest proponent of keeping certain animals contained in small enclosures, you can rest assured that the staff at the Audubon institute cares. This is their career.

This is a great park for sunbathing, paddle boating, picnics, throwing the frisbee.. think NYC Central Park in New Orleans. This place is famous for its massive oak trees that cover the grounds.

One of my favorite art museums in the world. The collection is so big that they have to cycle pieces. Imagine putting a Picasso in a closet. The collection here is complete and wide ranging. Must see!

This museum will knock your socks off. It is still expanding and has garnered international notoriety. Give yourself some time to visit if you can. This should go in your top 5. Prepare yourself.

Audubon Park is a great place to go run or walk around the oak lined trails. This park is very stately and majestic. It is also a great place to take pictures if you are having portraits made.

Go tour/support this local brewery and sample their beer. Their IPA's are very good. Their Blonde is also notable. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. Their market reach is expanding fast.
