The vibe & menu at this gastro-pub are the best in town! Their daily fresh sheet always offers something irresistible. Super friendly, hard-working staff . Open from lunch (11am) until late (typical last call for food is 9pm, last call for drinks is closer to 11pm). Call ahead to find out or make reso for larger groups as it does get very busy.

I can't get enough of their salmon burger on in-house baked brioche bun (buns are also for sale in a 'market' section of the restaurant). Quaint little bakery in the old train station. Excellent Americano + baked goods. I'm a big fan of their breakfast sandwich on a housemade biscuit.

Excellent panini's (breakfast options & much more available), baked goods, soups, smoothies, espresso...you name it! My go-to spot for grabbing coffee + breakfast for the road, but cozy seating + atmosphere if you want to chill for a bit.

Swimming + water activities, great for kids or stand-up paddle boarding in the summer (rentals available on-site). The lake tends to freeze later in the winter and may facilitate ice hockey. Also from here, a great intermediate walking trail called the Nairn Connector which is about a 1.5hr loop. Dog friendly trails and off-leash beach on far east end of lake.
