Ice club is more of an original nightclub with decent acoustics and vibrant nightlife.

Irish is more of a small bar, where you can relax while enjoying your Absente or between a wide variety of beers. What is special about it is everything in it, meaning it is decorated with every weird object you can think of.

Mpakalogatos is what we call here in Crete "Rakadiko", it serves both food(not like a restaurant since the portions are smaller so you can enjoy a big variety of dishes in decent prices)
and raki, beer or wine. You can also enjoy hookah.

BORA BORA, a cozy place decorated with bamboo and wood, serves fresh orange juice, coffee,tea and a toast in the morning, a cold beer or two in the hot midday or a tasty cocktail in the night. The sunset is also very romantic to watch from that beach bar.

Food Scene
Mikrasiatiko is a bakery where you can have fast food or refreshments on the go like baguete, atomic pizzas, cheese pies, Cretan bread(witch you'll love), coffee, sweets,tarts and everything else you need to start your day or your trip without having to prepare anything the previous night. It is also located very close to the apartment and it can be comfortably reached on foot. Next to it are a mini market and another bakery/coffee shop that i am having trouble locating on the map while using Airbnb's search engine.

Taverna zisis is famous for the value/price among the locals for the food it provides, the environment is fine, the food is decent, portions are generous and the prices are kind of cheap comparing to the rest of restaurants in Rethymno, in my opinion. There you can enjoy a wide variety of appetizers and main dishes. This restaurant is close to the apartment and they also provide you with parking, playground for the kids and they will pack the food if you ask so in order to take it with you and enjoy it elsewhere.

Taverna Zisis

Machis KritisTaverna zisis is famous for the value/price among the locals for the food it provides, the environment is fine, the food is decent, portions are generous and the prices are kind of cheap comparing to the rest of restaurants in Rethymno, in my opinion. There you can enjoy a wide variety of appetizers and main dishes. This restaurant is close to the apartment and they also provide you with parking, playground for the kids and they will pack the food if you ask so in order to take it with you and enjoy it elsewhere.

I just love frozen yogurt! Located in "ari velouchioti" which is alongside with the famous sandy beach and promenade of Rethymno just a few minutes from the apartment on foot, offers stunning views of the sunset and sunrise while refreshing your hot day with its cool and fresh ingredients.

Located in "ari velouchioti" which is alongside with the famous sandy beach and promenade of Rethymno just a few minutes from the apartment on foot, offers stunning views of the sunset and sunrise while refreshing your hot day with its cool and fresh ingredients.
If i had to choose between those 2 ice cream shops [ "Angeli gelato" and ( "Meli" which is located in Sofokli Venizelou 7) ] i wouldn't know what to do, so i pinned the one that is closer to my apartment. Try the one that is closer to you when you got the appetite for ice cream, or go to both, you'll love them.

If you want to experience traditional country food, villages are the place to go. Τhis is the only tavern in the village that i grew as a child. "Taverna Smaragdi" is it's name. It is located just few meters after you enter the village Skoyloyfia and it usually operates after the sunset(because that is when most locals will go out for food). Dishes i would recommend are: "Paidakia" , any grilled meat that is on the menu since all the meat and vegetables are either locally produced by farmers or grown by the owner of the tavern himself, Greek salad,"Ntolmadakia" "Tzatziki" grilled bread,"Vlita", "Feta" and potatoes!

Kinesis is a small but nice gym close to the apartment. It has view of the ocean, the equipment is decent and there are a lot of programs to choose from. It's far less crowded in the mornings and very busy in the afternoons.

In my top 10 beaches of Rethymno if you don't want to go far away into the southern beaches, next to Georgioupolis(a big village of Rethymno which i recommend visiting also), you will find anything you need there! ;)

There is also a mini tavern there to enjoy raki and relax during the afternoon but do not rely your food or water supply to that! Bring your own supplies of everything you will need!!!

One of the best, if not the best spot to go at Rethymnos beach! With wooden beds and huge pillows on the sand they serve salads and drinks. It's also very close to the apartment!

Loutro is a village with no road access!!!! Isolated with connection only through boat you can access from Hora Sfakion. Ideal for staying there 2-3 nights. It's awesome! Ask me for more info ;)

A must see! This lakes deep is still unknown, and there is no river feeding it! The place is nice you can rent a sea bike and explore the place, then its full of good taverns and souvenir shops etc.
