The University of Maine is a both idyllic and cosmopolitan enclave in the center of Maine, established in 1869 as Maine's land grant institution. In it you'll find a variety of sporting events, topnotch entertainment at the Maine Center for the Arts, a variety of eats at the food court, 1200 acres of hiking and skiing trials, museums, classroom opportunities for the rest of us, all beside the beautiful stillwater river.
