Casual dining, amazing seafood, great happy hour. Marina / boat views. Just a stone's throw from the Bay Cafe, mentioned earlier... Don't even have to leave Magnolia to eat & drink well!

The chicken tostada is to die for, but mainly I love this down-home establishment for its friendly staff and casual atmosphere. If you're in there for breakfast, don't miss Jen's Potatoes!

It's just a run-of-the-mill Starbucks, but it's got everything you'd expect! Right in Magnolia Village, free wi-fi, etc. Better coffee can be found elsewhere, but at least it's familiar!

Super-yum coffee. Nice, quiet environment and large, sturdy tables for work/study. Small selection of baked goods; may want to come in on a full stomach! Plenty of places for grub in the village.

Run by a real French family, this is a neighborhood staple for authentic macarons and other sweet treats. Definitely worth a pit-stop!

Good, down-home food/drinks and stunning views of Seattle from Elliott Bay Marina. Reasonably priced, especially compared to its upstairs neighbor (Palisades), and views are almost the same. Outdoor seating available in summer.

Bird lovers... This is a protected Blue Heron habitat, with high chances of visibility. My friends who live along the ravine see so many herons, they had to put a giant net over their fish pond!

Gateway to the Chittenden Locks, on the Magnolia side. Lovely water views, a relaxing atmosphere for picnicking... and only steps from the salmon fish ladder!

The famous boat elevator, lifting boats up to lake level and down to sea level. A must-see. Don't miss the fish ladder on the Magnolia side of the locks, or the botanical gardens on the Ballard side! The train bridge is a gorgeous site as well.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite neighborhood spots. Delicious food and a wonderful whiskey selection, among other fare. Fancy house-made poutine. Try the bread pudding with Jack Daniels ice cream!
