Food Scene
It is an excellent place to eat! Very well-known and popular. They have everything you could possibly want and it is excellent for trying a variety of Turkish food because you can take a plate, put whatever you like on it and they will weigh it for price. I like to go there when I'm not sure what I want because I can get everything :)

Parks & Nature
If you want to escape the city head to the islands! On the islands you can walk around, go to the beach or take a carriage ride. There are no cars allowed on the island so it's a nice escape from Istanbul congestion.

Sightseeing
Of course you must go to Sultanahmet! See the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque as well as the Underground Cisterns! My only advice for going there is beware of pick-pocketers and swindlers. If anyone drops a brush don't help them, and also don't feel rude if you ignore people! But other than that, enjoy the magnificent beauty of the mosques and surrounding area. It is truly amazing!

It has excellent views of the city! And it only costs 1 lira! In my opinion it is better than Galata Tower (although it is less historic). It used to be a secret place but is now on TripAdvisor :)
