Hawker centre with lots of seafood. Where you can sit and look out over the straits and get a taste of Singapores famous chilli or pepper crab dishes.
Take your own napkins as hawker centres all over Singapore don't provide them.
It's outdoors but a lot of the seats have shade. Wouldn't recommend for a rainy day.

A day trip away from the city. Take a 'bumboat' from Changi Village and hire bikes to ride around the island. Mostly bushland and wetlands. Also has a boardwalk over the coastal wetlands and some low grade mountain biking trails.

Walking/jogging trails around the reservoir and the chance to spot some wildlife. We have seen Malaysian water monitors, Monkeys, numerous birds of prey and the occasional snake.
There is also a treetops walk with a long rope-bridge high in the canopy.

Catch a show inside the iconic "Durians" as the Theatres are said to resemble or there are regular free music performances in front of the theatres near the bay.
There is also a lovely rooftop bar with views over the city.

Aura on the rooftop terrace is a great spot for afternoon/evening drinks with views across to the art science museum, marina bay sands and the city skyline. Its not cheap but also not as expensive as the bar next to it :-)
