Amazing ice-cream, fruit salads and desserts, all super Mexican with fruits and ingredients you had never heard of before. A must go if you are traveling with little ones. The plaza right in front of it has a little water park for kids to splash around while grown ups enjoy their treats

This place celebrates the Barrio low rider culture with a great counter built from a vintage car and great photos. Hot dogs with a chicano twist, their nopales salad (nopales are a broad leaf cactus) is tangy and yummy, and the sausages come from Sepulveda meats up in Golden Hill.

When you are tired of eating Mexican, this is a little Guamanian and Paciɥc Islander place where you can enjoy chamorro cuisine. Not exactly light but oh so tasty. The sushi rolls are creative and delicious. Just add finadene sauce everywhere and your day can only get better
