Try the Chili Relleno. Hecho is a bit spendy, but super close and a nice atmosphere to sit at the bar and have a cocktail while figuring out where to go next on your trip.

This place only serves wine and beer, but they've got some amazing food. Mostly sandwiches and soups... they dont do french fries which is a bummer but they have a lot of really good comfort food. It's also been there forever which you can tell when you go in.

Kens is a grocery store - but to be honest I go there many times a week and such grab a pre-made sandwich or one of their premade dinners. I'm a big fan of the meatloaf sandwich and the meatloaf dinner - but most everything they make is really good. They also have quick and easy breakfast sandwiches and burritos in the morning in a hot case. If you're planning a hike while you are here Kens is a great place to go grab a few pre-made things to take with you.

What a delight this place is. Owned and run by a husband and wife who live upstairs- the food is really good and it's got a small European vibe.

Indulgent - do not be fooled thinking you are getting a healthy sandwich - but oh my god are they good. The number 1, valhalla sandwich is killer.

Nicer atmosphere - amazing views. If it's summer time, it will be hard to get a seat on rays deck, but their upstairs bar is cheaper than the downstairs restaurant and its a seattle icon.

Amazing little restaurant a short walk from the house. Try to get a reservation as they fill up fast. All food is cooked on wood fire. Great date spot (if you're not a vegetarian)

This place is an old classic - walk in and you'll notice that you're among regulars. This is a common afterwork destination of a lot of Seattles best blue collar employees. Its got a good vibe and will suit you if you like hanging in a more casual environment.

This place is a total dive - but it's a scene worth exploring if you so dare. It's almost fun enough to walk in, get a drink, and just watch what's going on in there. I imagine in time this place will evolve (or close) but as it currently exists it's a wild place.
