Hike and bike trail located 1/2 mile walk from the Treehouse. Beautiful year round, you can choose how far to walk on this 10 mile trail on the banks of Lady Bird Lake, also known as Town Lake by the old timers in Austin. Canoe, kayak, standup paddle boards, and bicycle rentals are available along the trail.
**No motorized scooters allowed on the trail!

This is a lesser known trail to hike in Austin. It is a challenging trail but even in summer, remains at least 10 degrees cooler due to the heavy tree cover and active creeks located throughout the trail.

This trail runs for miles and starts at the iconic Barton Springs Pool in Zilker Park. Hiking, walking, mountain biking, some swimming available depending on recent rainfall and the springs producing enough water to fill the swimming holes.

Located in Zilker Park, this Austin treasure is a natural bottom pool fed by Barton Springs and has small fish, salamanders and vegetation. The water is a steady 68-70 degree temperature year round-perfect for those hot summer days! It is open year round. Great for swimming, snorkeling, or some fancy moves on the old school diving board. Zilker park is an easy 1 mile walk or bicycle ride from the property.
*Topless sunbathing is allowed on the South shore of the pool.
