Cuisine et dîner : mole et sauces mexicaines
Having met in a vast and beautiful courtyard, we will proceed to the large kitchen where the cooking lesson will commence. We will begin by preparing some delicious salsas, followed by an authentic and traditional Mexican mole, tasty enmoladas, and mexican rice. (Please let me know in advance if you have special dietary needs). I will educate you on the ingredients, tell you about the culinary and nutritional values, and how to prepare and cook each part of the meal. I will teach you the history and cultural importance of the Mole and how it used to be the “Food of the Emperors”, reserved only for the upper class of the Mayan and Aztec society. During the lesson you will enjoy a pure cacao chocolate drink, and be enticed to explore your environment: the cozy den with its fireplace, library and piano; and the surrounding courtyard with its organic gardens and gorgeous landscapes. Having prepared the delicious meal, we will sit down and dine, enjoying the meal and engaging in wonderful conversation. Vignoble local, dégustation et visite culturelle
We will shuttle from Centro San Miguel de Allende to visit my favorite local vineyard located approximately thirty minutes away. We will tour the beautiful vineyard inside and out with its unique personality, grandiose architecture, and majestic vistas. We will walk the fields and smell the essence of the vines and grapes. We will explore the wine cellar where the wine is aged and you will learn all about the wine production process. At this point is when the fun really begins as we learn all about wine and its structure when we participate in a tasting of 5 wines and the association of delicious meats, cheeses and local-made honey in a beautiful wine tasting room. Some of their wines are internationally award winning; Brussels, Catalonia, etc. You will learn each wine’s properties and how best to appreciate them. You will be amazed by the wine and culture in this country, and the history of wine in the region. An amazing learning experience for both experienced wine lovers and those looking to enjoy a good wine. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, the tasting will be an unforgettable sensory experience. You will be dropped back at Centro after this amazing, fun and Covid-friendly tour.
Immersion à l'époque préhispanique et étude des astres
We are moving. While the museum and restaurant are being redesigned in our new location at La Comunidad de La Presa, we would still love to take you on an astronomical journey to Cañada de la Virgen Archaeological Site. Start your day visiting a unique prehispanic ceremonial site while learning how it's ancient astronomers designed the architectural features in order to follow the cycles of the sun, the moon and Venus. Through the eyes of Dr. Rossana Quiroz -who was part of the excavation team-, we will explore the original pilgrimage route and understand how archaeological spaces, ceramics, burials, carbon dating and DNA, tell a long untold story about the Laja River original people, settlements and landscapes. Last but not least: a crash course on astronomy that you can actually apply to your life and local landscape. If you love to tune into the sky, this is the experience for you! Hope you're ready to submerge with us under the cosmological spell of Mesoamerican sacred entities and philosophical concepts. We believe that the astronomical features of this antique temples and traditions are best understood when explained by the same researcher that actually discovered such features. Lets keep every detail nurturing and simple: tiny groups and 100% personal attention.

Peignez de la céramique avec la technique du talavera
We will paint with mayólica, an old and beautiful technique also known as talavera. This class it’s given by me and Estefanía, my support teacher, she is also a talavera artist and she is part of my team. You will learn some history about the art form and we will decorate your pieces with your own designs and creativity. You’ll have a simple table set of three pieces . After your class, we will fire your pieces and can ship them to you. Firing and shipping typically takes about four weeks depending on the quantity of pieces to fill the kiln. Shipping costs are extra depending on the size and quantity of what you create. We work with the best and cheapest shipping company in town. (Please conctact us for details but we typically find that shipping to the continental United States is about 90usd) Classes are private and intimate, so get ready to make some close friends while enjoying this amazing art. We also have drink packages available should you like to share a bottle of wine or a few cocktails. * For artist interested in creating more that 4 items, we can sell more sets, and charging extra.
