St Cyrus beach, Lunan Bay, The blue door walk at Edzell and Dunnottar Castle are a few of the places to visit.

King size bed and additional sofabed allows 2 - 4 guests to stay on the idyllic riverbank in rural Aberdeenshire, yet only half a mile from the A90. Relax, pour a dram, hop in the hot tub and revel in the peace and quiet of our riverbank grass field. Spot fish, birds, and maybe even an otter. Dogs by prior agreement.

The Tower, Thornton Castle

Great base for exploring Cairngorms, Grampians, east coast beaches & harbours, golf courses, scenic & wildlife photography, astronomy, walking, cycling, or relaxing in your own space. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!
