The most beautiful and the most popular Croatian national park, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Very nice for daily walk. You just must see it and feel it:)) TIP: main entrance is RASTOVAČA (entrance No1) Plitvice Lakes are the oldest National park in Southeast Europe and the largest National park in Croatia. It was founded in 1949., and in 1979. was added to UNESCO World Heritage. The protected area extends over 296,85 square kilometers. The National park is world famous for its lakes arranged in cascades. Currently 16 lakes can be seen from the surface. Lakes are separated into an upper and lower cluster. The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colors, ranging from azure to green, gray or blue
