The Castle Hill park (le parc de la Colline du Château) is located on the hill overlooking Nice Old Town. It owes its name to the military fortress that overlooked the bay of Nice from the 11th to the 18th century. Definitely worth a walk up to the top of the colline du Château for a panoramic view of the promenade and the port. Bring your selfie stick!

Accessible by climbing the various routes up from the Old Town e.g. at Place St Claire or by taking the lift from the end of Rue des Ponchettes, the Colline du Chateau is a green oasis. Perfect for families to play games or just to enjoy the sun and views. Even when it’s busy (weekends) it is always possible to find a corner of tranquillity to read your holiday book!
