This site, north of Big Lake Park, was dedicated in 1936 to honor the expedition of Lewis and Clark in 1804 and their historic meeting with Otoe and Missouri Indians. Renovations were completed in mid-2002, and the bicentennial celebration will lead into 2004.

It's the historic Council Bluffs monument, with an excellent & tricky mountain bike trail!
