Montreal is famous for it's poutine. Created in the city of Drummondville by Le Roy Jucep this dish is made out of fresh triple cooked fries , gravy and a local curd cheese that we local call squeesh squeesh based on the sound it makes when you chew it. La Banquise is by far the most legendary place in Montreal when it come to poutine. There are over 40 choices with different ingredient. My top 3 is Duleton , fresh ground beef chopped onions and peppercorn gravy B.O.M witch stand for bacon , onions and merguez sausages Last but not the least the classic so you can taste the real experience with no add ons.
