Mai Manó House, House of Hungarian Photographers is an iconic place. Its founder, Imperial and Royal Court Photographer from the turning of 19th and 20th centuries, Manó Mai built a Renaissance revival building and dedicated it to photography, an activity hardly considered to be a form of art in that time. Pictures of Hungarian photographers, group-presentations and retrospective exhibitions take place in 3 floors. You get the chance to see the founder's workroom, the Sunlight Studio and many other halls and ornamentation in original style. Visiting Mai Manó House with Budapest Card is free of charge.

Always special and interesting photo exhibitions and the next door cafe (Mai Manó) is best during the warmer months, when you can laze on the terrace, enjoying the view of the hustle and bustle of Nagymező street.
