Locally known as the Hat and Boots, this park is a neighborhood labor of love. If you've met Alan or LaDele at the Carleton, you've met the people who saved this former gas station from ruin and were instrumental in having it moved to it's location. Plus what is cooler than a giant cowboy hat and…

Also known as Hat & Boots Park. In cool Georgetown neighborhood. Giant hat and boots. Great place for picnic lunch. We like to get takeout from Maruta Japanese Market nearby.

Grocery or Supermarket
“The Carleton is the kind of small neighborhood grocery you grew up with, a quintessential corner store. Say "hi" to Alan, LaDele and their pug. Grab a few essentials. We love to get our neighborhood news when we stop by the Carleton and our kids love the ice cream. ”

Parc
“This place is so fantastic! Playground, spray park, and a nice soccer field? Be still my heart! The playground and spray park also have big trees that provide some shade from the sun if you are Seattle white and don't want to turn salmon pink. Foot traffic from nearby businesses and other random pedestrians can get pretty interesting. All in all, great place to enjoy the beautiful Emerald City summer and a good place to people watch. ”

“This is my favorite Sushi/Japanese restaurant in the South Seattle area. The focus is on quality. Voted in 2013 as Best Sushi Restaurant (Reader's Choice) in Seattle by the International Examiner. Daimonji is fantastic! ”

“This lounge / restaurant is in our building downstairs. A little swank but still down to earth. Great drinks, excellent food ratings and nice staff. The beer and a burger happy hour special is my fave”
