The mine is known as the Molly Kathleen Mine. The tour is spendy but tons of fun. Look into going to an overlook in the area to see an active mine. The trucks are massive!

Mountain
“Pikes Peak, also known as "America's Mountain", is at an elevation of 14,115 feet, and is the most accessible mountain in Colorado. The summit of Pikes Peak is where Katherine Lee Bates got her inspiration to write the song "America the Beautiful. After coming down from the summit she sat in Colorado Springs and penned the words to the son "America the Beautiful" while looking upon the beautiful mountain peak.”
