Great little zoo with a pretty good cafe and cool barnyard section. What sets it apart is the Skywalk through the redwood canopy. This is a real thrill!

Absolutely breathtaking displays of old-growth redwoods right in the center of town. If you wander off of the cement path, the trails that meander through the middle of the park, near the pond, are the absolute best. Prepare for views that will take your breath away. Not a long hike, maybe 1 mile at the most.

The zoo has a wonderful otter display as well as a great cafe. The reptile and bird exhibits are beautiful. There's also a fun park right next to the zoo that is perfect for families. There are some hiking trails in the park that vary from easy pavement trails to moderately difficult trails. There is also a nice pond where families often like to feed the ducks and look at the turtles that live there.

The local zoo, this one is set (can you guess?) in a redwood forest. The new Redwood Skywalk lets you take a walk in the tops of the redwoods - going up 100’ high to see the world from the redwoods’ point of view!
