Open to the public during lunch and/or when a local gardener is tending to his/her plot. I enjoy grabbing something from home, bi-rite, or tartine and eating lunch under and around a beautiful garden

"They unpaved a parking lot, and put up a paradise." Formerly the employee parking lot of a PepsiCo bottling plant; Now a delightful Community Garden. If the gate is open, go in and have a look!

A hidden community garden one block off 18th--if you are lucky, someone will let you in and you can enter the magical oasis.
